The download and model limits you're hitting on Suno trace to its Warner Music settlement and the licensing rollout that followed, not to a broken export button. As part of the WMG deal, Suno removed audio downloads from the free tier in January 2026: free generations still play and share on Suno's servers, but you can no longer pull the file down for use elsewhere, and even paid tiers now face announced monthly download caps. Separately, the v4 model launched exclusively for Pro and Premier, leaving free accounts on the older generation; and after the settlement the terms were revised so users generally are not considered the owner of the songs they generate, with free-tier tracks unable to be monetized even retroactively. Reading your own situation follows from that: still able to generate but the download option is gone or greyed out is the licensing-driven tier change, not a bug — and output that also sounds a generation behind means you're on the free model tier, not v4. No amount of clearing cache or re-exporting restores downloads on free. If you genuinely need downloadable files or the newer model, the path up is Pro (roughly eight to ten dollars a month, about 2,500 credits and commercial use) or Premier (roughly twenty-four to thirty, about 10,000 credits plus Studio and the new Premier-only Advanced Split stem tool).
