About AI Limit Watcher

An independent, source-backed record of how AI tools change the rules — usage limits, quotas and pricing — over time.

01 / WHY THIS EXISTS

AI tools change their terms quietly and often. A plan you rely on gets a lower message cap; a model you built around is deprecated; a price rises or a “unlimited” tier quietly gains a limit. These changes rarely arrive with a clear, dated announcement, so it is hard to answer a simple question: has this tool been getting more restrictive, or is it just me?

AI Limit Watcher exists to answer that. We track constraint changes across 30 AI tools and record every one against a primary source and a date — 270 tracked changes so far — so the pattern over time is visible instead of anecdotal.

02 / WHAT WE TRACK — AND WHAT WE DON’T

We cover exactly one thing: how each tool’s constraints have evolved. Specifically:

  • usage limits and quota changes (message caps, rate limits, credits)
  • pricing moves and plan restructures
  • model availability and deprecations
  • transparency — whether a change was announced or silent

We are explicitly not a capability benchmark, a “best AI tool” ranking, or an uptime monitor. A stable constraint history does not mean a tool is better at its job — only that it has changed the rules on its users less often. The full reasoning and scoring is documented in our methodology.

03 / HOW WE WORK

No claim appears without a source. We prioritise official documentation, changelogs, pricing pages and status pages; where those are missing we use Wayback Machine snapshots to fix dates, and reputable news coverage to fill gaps. Community reports are used only as secondary confirmation and are marked as such.

The written analysis on tool, comparison and symptom pages is drafted with AI assistance from that structured, sourced data and reviewed before publishing — so every specific it states (a date, a price, a limit) traces back to a dated, linkable record rather than being generated from thin air. The scoring is a transparent heuristic, described in full on the methodology page.

04 / INDEPENDENCE & CONTACT

AI Limit Watcher is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the tools it tracks. The site is supported by advertising; how that works is described in our privacy policy.

Spotted an error, a change we missed, or a source we should add? Corrections are welcome at tronghieu.dao91@gmail.com or via the contact page.

05 / WHO MAINTAINS THIS

AI Limit Watcher is built and maintained by Eden Dao, who tracks these tools as a daily user and follows their changelogs, pricing pages and status updates so the constraint history stays current and sourced. The project started from a plain frustration — limits and prices changing without a clear, dated record — and every entry here links back to a primary source so the analysis can be checked rather than taken on trust.

There is no editorial relationship with any tool maker, and no affiliate arrangement that would reward one verdict over another. When we get something wrong, the fastest way to fix it is a corrections email with a source — see the contact page.
